Alberta Co-op
Your community-owned, worker-run grocery store serving Portland, Oregon!
In 1997, a group of neighbors in North and Northeast Portland formed a buyer’s club to make healthy, organic products more accessible. This initiative eventually led to the establishment of Alberta Co-op, which opened its doors on July 8, 2001. Located in the vibrant Alberta Arts District, the co-op offers a wide range of products including fresh produce, bulk foods, dairy, and wellness items, all while focusing on affordability and community values. The co-op is easily accessible via public transport and provides off-street parking for both bikes and cars.
