Urban Winery Pioneers
Hip Chicks Do Wine is the labor of love by owners and winemakers Laurie Lewis and Renee Neely. Their passion for wine was sparked by numerous visits to wineries and vineyards throughout Oregon. They established Hip Chicks do Wine in SE Portland in 1999 and opened their tasting room doors in 2001. The winery produces 1,500-2,000 cases of wine annually, offering a variety of wines made from grapes like Pinot Gris, Roussanne, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery aims to make wine fun and approachable, with a catchy name that reflects their mission. They invite guests to enjoy their tasting room and participate in various events, making it a vibrant part of the Portland wine scene.
