Ratio Product Lab
Our 24/7 3D printing farm enables rapid prototyping and iteration.
Ratio Product Lab was born in Atlanta's thriving innovation ecosystem, initially launching from the Georgia Tech Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) as Spectralogic. In 1994, a strategic new facility and move to Buckhead marked a pivotal evolution: we formalized as an independent business and rebranded as Ratio Design Lab. From the start, our emphasis on concurrent product development—bringing together multidisciplinary teams of designers, engineers, and innovators—drove game-changing breakthroughs. We emerged as an early leader in portable computing solutions, delivering advanced technology designs that were genuinely ahead of their time and helped shape the future of mobile and compact devices. That same forward-thinking, integrated approach has defined us ever since. Relaunched in 2015 as Ratio Product Lab, Jim Ferguson renewed our commitment to the Ratio legacy while adapting to the fast-paced world of modern hardware creation—where speed, iteration, and manufacturability are everything.
